You can work in pairs for this activity. One person completes Part A while the other completes Part B. You can then compare the results – how accurate is the result for you?

If time permits you can swap and complete the second part and compare results again.

Finally, if you have whizzed through everything, work through the optional activity using the SACE website.

Part A

  1. What are multiple intelligences? Open this link in a new window (right click trick)

http://www2.bgfl.org/bgfl2/custom/resources_ftp/client_ftp/ks1/ict/mulitple_int/index.htm

Explore the various types before you take the test.

Complete the online test then print out the results for future reference.

What are the implications for your learning this year?

  1. Regardless of your results, you need to “Use ALL Your Smarts” – explore what they can be @ http://www.lesley.edu/faculty/kholmes/presentations/MI.html

Part B

  1. Flip through this slideshow on learning styles

http://www.ulc.arizona.edu/online_materials/LearningStylesOnline_files/frame.htm

  1. Work out your learning style using the online survey http://www.ulc.arizona.edu/learn_styl_ass.html
  2. Print out the study strategies http://www.ulc.arizona.edu/SS43LrnMod.html and highlight the strategies best suited to your dominant learning style. Remember this doesn’t mean you can’t learn any other way!
  3. Finish the slide show and answer the final question: How will you be changing your study methods now that you are aware of your learning style?

If you have time after completing Parts A & B, explore these resources from the SACE website
