This is an important thinking stage - if you have planned your search, things should fall into place more easily. Ask yourself:
Thinking and making decisions is something you do throughout the research process. At this Organising stage you will be: deciding what information is missing, deciding how to organise and present that information. When you reach this stage it is important that you refer back to the assignment to make sure your information is both relevant and sufficient.
This is when your pre-planning ( if you did any!) starts to pay off. If you have been using the noting template, your notes will already be organised and sequenced to match the assignment requirements. That makes it easier to re-read each section of notes, then re-write in your own words, applying the information to meet the task requirements. Remember its OK to quote word-for-word from your sources, but it must be in quotation marks and you must cite your source in your bibliography. Avoid too many quotes that are too long and only use them to illustrate a point you have made in your own words. Hopefully you have along the way also found charts, pictures, diagrams etc to insert at appropriate points (always refer to any illustrations in your text) with captions and relevant references.
