Bibliography - layout

Bibliographies are set out in a special way and there are strict rules for this. Your teacher, especially in the senior school, may specify a particular 'convention' or layout:

Otherwise, refer to the examples below:-

Take special note of  alphabetical order by author’s name,
title underlining and punctuation.

EXAMPLES

Book: Bradley, Mark (1996), The Cold War, Macmillan, London.

CD-ROM: “Melba, Nellie” (1997), Microsoft Encarta [CD ROM], Microsoft Corporation, Richmond, WA.

DVD/Video: The Greenhouse effect  [Videocassette], Video Classroom, Richmond, Vic.

Magazine article: Ham, Paul (1999), “Strong arm tactics”, Bulletin, ACP Direct, Sydney, February 9, p.40.

Newspaper article: 'Building boom' (2003), Canberra Times, Wed Nov 17.

Personal communication (could be letter, email, phone or face to face conversation, interview or survey): Robinson, Chris. Personal Interview. 15 October 2006
