In the 21st century the Internet has expanded and evolved, the digital revolution is here to stay. Web 2.0, also known as the read/write web, is part of that revolution.

The world wide web is no longer just a place to read information. More and more applications allow you to customise what you see (e.g. MySpace, Deli.cio.us) and to write/create and share your own contributions (e.g. Wikipedia, Facebook, Blogs).

NOTE: This has implications for copyright and privacy - you need to be clear on your rights and responsibilities when copying and sharing media and personal information across the web.

This creating and sharing of information also allows you to command certain information to come to you (e.g. RSS Feeds). All of this can change the way you search, where you search for information on the Internet, and how you record and store that information.
